Escarpment Boardwalk

Revitalisation of Parramatta Quay is a priority project in the Parramatta City River Foreshore transformation.

Construction on Parramatta River’s long-awaited Escarpment Boardwalk has started opposite the Parramatta Ferry Wharf, is now well underway.

The river-level pedestrian and cyclist connection will deliver a missing link in the Parramatta Valley Cycleway, connecting Parramatta Park to Melrose Park through completely off-road pathways. The project will also include two new set of stairs, one up to Stewart Street and the other at Macarthur Street to ensure safe and direct access for the public and local school students. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2021.
